GM Loot & Sharing

Updated July 2026

Once a party member shares a character into your campaign, you can hand loot straight to that character from Scenario View — no separate inventory screen, no typing names.

For the player-side controls, see [Party — Sharing from the Character Sheet](guide-party.md#sharing-from-the-character-sheet).

For GMs

Allocating an item

Every loot row in the [Loot section](guide-scenarios.md#loot) of Scenario View has an Allocate pill next to unassigned items.

  1. Tap Allocate on the item you want to hand out.
  2. A list of shared characters appears under "Allocate to…".
  3. Tap a character's name.

The item is assigned immediately — the pill is replaced by the character's name and a Drop link.

Why the Allocate pill might be missing

The Allocate pill only appears once at least one party member has shared a character into this campaign. If your party has no shared characters yet, loot rows show just the item and quantity — no Allocate pill, and no error. This is normal, not a bug: ask your players to share a character from their Character Sheet's SHARING section, and the pill will appear on your next visit to the scenario.

Reassigning or unassigning

  • To give an item to someone else: tap Allocate again and pick a different character. The new choice replaces the old one.
  • To take an item back: tap Drop next to the assigned character's name, then confirm — "Unassign this item from {character}? You can re-allocate it anytime." The row returns to showing the Allocate pill once confirmed.

If a character stops being shared

If a player stops sharing a character into this campaign (or deletes it) after you've assigned them loot, the item quietly falls back to unassigned the next time you open the scenario — no error, no crash. Re-allocate it once they've shared a character here again.

For players

Seeing what you've been given

Open the Party tab and tap into a campaign to reach Campaign Party Detail. Below My Notes, the Assigned Loot section lists every item your GM has handed to one of your shared characters in that campaign.

Each row shows:

  • Item name and quantity (×N)
  • The scenario it came from

If you have more than one shared character in the campaign, each row also shows which character it went to (for example, "Health Potion ×3 · Aether Vex"). With only one shared character, that label is left off since it's implied.

This list refreshes automatically when you return to the screen — no pull-to-refresh needed.

If nothing has been assigned to you yet, the section reads "No loot assigned yet."

This section is view-only. Only your GM can allocate or drop items.

Share a character before a session starts — your GM can't hand you loot until you have at least one character shared into that campaign.
Loot lives on the scenario, not the character — if you're tracking items across a whole campaign, check each scenario's Assigned Loot separately for now.
